The Wyoming Hospitality & Travel Coalition Education Foundation is the only statewide nonprofit dedicated to advancing Wyoming’s hospitality and tourism industry through education, training, and workforce development.

Our mission is simple: empower, educate, and inspire. We provide resources, scholarships, and hands-on opportunities that help students and educators prepare for successful careers in one of Wyoming’s largest and fastest-growing industries. From professional development for teachers to career pathways for students, WHTCEF is shaping the workforce of tomorrow—right here in Wyoming.

Wyoming ProStart

​

Wyoming ProStart is a premier high school culinary arts and restaurant management program that blends classroom learning with real-world experience. Backed by the National Restaurant Association and supported locally by WHTCEF, Wyoming ProStart prepares students with the skills they need to thrive—whether in a kitchen, in management, or as entrepreneurs.

Each year, students showcase their skills at the Wyoming ProStart Invitational, competing in culinary, management, cake decorating, bread baking, and charcuterie categories. Winners represent Wyoming on the national stage, where they compete against the best from across the country.

But the impact goes beyond competitions. Wyoming ProStart connects students with industry mentors, provides access to scholarships, and gives them a pathway into lifelong careers that keep Wyoming’s hospitality industry strong.
